Der Gnoblar im Ausguck ist eine witzige Idee ... bin schon sehr auf die Regeln von den Jungs gespannt.

Wann sollen die nochmal rauskommen?

Ogre Kingdoms release scheduled for (late) Oct/Nov 04 and continuing through to Jan 05.

the army book will be 80 pages long.
the list is in official playtesting state.

gnoblars can/must be buyed as an upgrade to each ogre equal to his rank. Unlike the goblin-orc relation, Gnoblars are treated with respect by Ogres. Ogres look after them as if they were their pets.

From the artwork, it would appear that Ogres now have a greenish tint to their skin.

SPECIAL CHARACTERS:

Greasus Goldtooth the Overtyrant: THE biggest, fattest, richest Tyrant out there. The model has him SO fat that he has to be carried into battle by a regiment of Gnoblars, and he comes on a chariot base!

Skrag the Slaughterer - Prophet of Maw: A HUGE Ogre with blades for arms. He comes equpped with a cauldron which is dragged along via chains hooked into his flesh.

CHARACTERS:

The Tyrant: (Metal) The boss.

Butchers: (Metal) The wizards of the army. They practice Gastromancy. Butchers eat everything and the items they eat give them special powers(spells). So you'll have a different effect when the Butcher eats a rock, than when he eats a human or something. The spells will be mostly troop enchancing and not offensive.

Hunter: (Metal) A massive, solitary Ogre accompanied by Sabretusks.

TROOPS:

Ogre Bulls (Plastic) The basic Ogre regiment. The standard with a Gnoblar in a ship's crows nest is brilliant!
Bulls cause impact hits for the first two ranks on the charge.

Ironguts (Plastic) Bigger Ogres with better armour and great weapons.

Leadbelchers (Plastic) Yes, these are the cannon carrying fellas...

Gnoblars (Plastic) The bravest Gnoblars who form up into regiments.

Gorgers (Metal) Canibalistic Ogres. Imagine how hard these guys are if they eat Ogres for breakfast!

Yhetees (Metal) Tall, thin, hairy Ogres with some lovely rules to represent their chilly personalities!

Gnoblar Trappers: (Metal) These nasty little sods booby trap parts of the battlefield, and POSSIBLY may have missile weapons.

Maneaters: (Metal) These are the guys you have seen (including the fella with the pistols). The adapt to the cultures they fight in, so expect to see Empirised and Cathayan looking ones (complete with No-Dachi and bamboo armour).

ARTILLERY

Scraplauncher As Gnoblars cannot lift heavy rocks into their stonethrowers, they collect weaponry from battlefields, and launch bucketfulls of that instead. If anyone gets too close, they can always use the Rhinoxs who pull it to countercharge...
Guess weapon. Large template str2 armour saves allowed. But! Killing blow (The scrap consists of everything the gnoblars find after a battle. No one is gonna like a knife falling on them with 100 miles an hour). The rhinoxar can fight reasonably in CC, so I'm guesing it to be some kind of chariot as well.


In addition, all of the plastic regiments may be considered to be DoW too...

Das kann man sich auch ohne Ankmeldung bei Portent anschauen, also cih zumindest.
Nicht schlecht das Modell, aber so besonders sieht es auch nicht aus.

Sieht echt cool aus. Die Idee mit dem Ausguck ist ja echt eine klasse Sache und lockert die schon so finster blickenden Oger auf. Wird sicher eine schöne Armee vom Aussehen her.

Weiß nicht... wird ein bißchen eng im Regiment, wenn sie endgültig auf den kleinen Bases stehen.

Kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass die auf einem 25mm Base stehen werden. Glaub eher, dass das nur für das Bild ist. Aber wir werden ja sehen.

Ja, der macht einen guten Eindruck. Wenn man das von einem Oger behaupten kann.

Bei dem Modell schaut es auch so aus als wenn er auf einem 40mm Base steht oder?

I denk mal, dass die Normalen Oger auf 40er bases kommen und die härteren Eliteeinheiten könnt i ma sogar auf 50er vorstellen. Obwohl, das is nur mei Meinung - wahrscheinlich stehens eh alle auf 40er

3x 5 Oger is da ned amal so teuer aufzustellen.

Ich glaub, da freut sich so manche Söldner-Armee! Vorallem wenn man (angeblich) einige Regimenter als Söldnereinheiten einsetzen kann.

Muss schon sagen, die wird echt nett die Armee. Die Details sind erste Klasse und die Modelle lassen endlose Umbauten zu, so wie es aussieht.

ja ein bischen vom sammel und bastelstil der orkze; sieht auch eher schlecht als recht zusammengezimmert aus...

irgendwie find ich es klasse das GW mal was komplett neues raushaut' obwohl einige regeln wahrscheinlich ein mischmasch aus TM, O&G etc. wird (meine persönliche prediction) was aber der stimmung denk ich keinen abbruch tut...

8ojo, geile armee, freu mich schon drauf.
v.a. die Modelle sind genial, viele details, leider auch viel Arbeit zum anmalen.

gut ausehen tuns ja die dinger, aber ich schön lagsam fang ich doch zum grübeln an, wrum die auf 25mm bases stehen. jedes model drei atacken grund?
