I visited BBAA homepage - a very nice page, updated, well organized, grats! - and there I saw the link to this forum. There was a little problem with the registration: there is no option for Ungarn, so I have chosen Wien.

First, thanks Guenne for advertising Budapest Bowl here. Next time we will try to time it not so close to other tournaments, so that you can also come.

Also thanks for mentioning the Austria-Hungary clash idea. That's why I am here now. Unfortunately we cannot meet on EB (too far, too expensive and too long, as we have to go on Friday and return on Monday).

But we should really test our coaches against each other. As we are so close and there are many coaches both in Austria and Hungary, it would be a great event! We can organize it in Wien or Budapest - or in the middle: Gyor.

If you like the idea, we should find out how many coaches are interested. I know that now you are preparing for EB, but we dont have to hurry.

basically not a bad idea, we just had a one day tournament last weekend - since I had no e-mail address of the hungarian BBowlers we had a little thread on Talkbloodbowl.

I am not sure about the others but I think we can only do this next year. In november we fly to the eurobowl and december is always bad because of this damn christmas. In January we probably fly to Berlin the the DDB II.

Great idea! What about a "neutral" location like Sopron? Easy to reach from vienna and I guess it's not to far away from Budapest either.
However we should organise an update of the forum for all those countries and peoples which where reigned by good old Kaiser Franz Joseph

A "neutral" location sounds good. Only question whether we can find a venue. In Györ there is the hotel we played last time.

Probably we should make a poll amongst the A and H coaches separately, something like this:

Would you participate if this clash is in
a)Wien
b)Budapest
c)inbetween
(You can choose more than 1 answer of course.)

Then we choose the location where the most people would go. As we need equal number of coaches, the lower number is regarded at each location.

For example:
Austrian coaches:
-Wien:21 (of course at home)
-Bp:7 (no, do not go that far)
-between:16 (yes, we can manage that far)
Hungarian coaches:
-Wien:8 (yeah, fun to go there)
-Bp:18 (of course at home)
-between:5 (no, either I want to play home, or visit Wien)
In this case the event would be in Wien with 8 coaches, because there we get the most coaches.

Well, we could establish an event on a yearly basis: once year in vienna, the next year in Budapest. As you mentioned, there will probably be quite a lot coaches who want to visit the other city.

I did not dare to think about a yearly basis, but yes, why wouldn't it work?
Then the only question is where to organize the first one. As you have already been to a HUN tourney, probably you can decide if you want to come again, or want us to go. Or we can still ask interested coaches where would they play, and if there is a big difference then we consider the result.

The club sounds good, Asai. However, the venue in Bp is a school, which we get at very low price.

January seems to be OK. I wonder if there are many university students among us, who have their exams in January. We should make a survey about it.

It would be a 1 day event, wouldn't it? With 3 or 4 matches? (4 matches go with 2 hours limit if we start at 9 and finish at 19, including 2x15 minutes short break and 90min lunchbreak.)

In a tense 2 days you outbested us with 21-19.
But it was a very great 2 days, I am very glad we made it. Thanks for all who organized and appeared and special thanks to the guys who just jumped in on Saturday morning as substitutes.
Good company at a good place - I think thats what I will remember. (No, I will never forget the defeat... )

Next year Hungary will host the KuK challenge (as Turin called it at NAF forum ) and try to use the homefield advantage :).

I hope there will be more and more coaches interested every year!
