With the release of the new Dwarf Book, there have been
multiple questions raised in regards to how it impacts
the Slayer Army of Karak Kadrin found in the Storm of Chaos
book.
With another season of the Great Lakes Warhammer League (GLWL)
on the near horizon (and several players interested in fielding a Slayer Army) it prompted me to address these questions.
Gav was kind enough to give me answers to two of
the key questions affecting the list.
Q: How do the "Look Snorri Trolls" army special rule
and Strollaz's Rune interact?
A: The player must choose whether to use Strollaz's Rune OR
the Look, Snorri, Trolls! rule...not both!

Q: Is the Slayer Army of Karak Kadrin still considered
"official" for tournaments? There are alot of "grey areas"
which have arisen with the release of the new Dwarf book.
A: The status of the list at tournaments is at the discretion
of those operating each tournament. If allowed, it will be
up to the tournament judges to rule on the "grey areas" until
such a time (if any) that any official guidance is issued
on the matter.

BF's Rulings on the Slayer Army of Karak Kadrin for GLWL Events
(Note if you are not a member of the GLWL you have my express
permission to cut and paste the language below for your local
gaming groups).
Q: Is the Slayer Army of Karak Kadrin allowed to be
fielded at GLWL events?
A: Yes, but note the remaining Q&As below.

Q: Can I use the profiles, points costs, equipment, special
rules, etc. for Daemon Slayers, Dragon Slayers,and Slayers that
are found in the new Dwarf Book?
A: You must use the profiles, points costs, equipment options,
special rules, etc. exactly as found in the Storm of Chaos book.
Note that references to "Warhammer Armies: Dwarfs, page 7" should
be updated to read "Warhammer Armies: Dwarfs, page 33." Also
note that NO characters or units in the Slayer Army of Karak
Kadrin have the special rule of "Slayer Axes".
In addition, note that any references to "runic Weapons lists"
should be changed to "Warhammer Armies: Dwarfs, page 44" and any
references to "runic Standards list" should be changed to "Warhammer
Armies: Dwarfs, pages 45-46".

Q: Is Malakai Makaisson a Master Engineer?
A: No. It explicitly states in his rules that he is a normal
Dwarf Engineer. He is not listed as a Master Engineer.
