Noble Lords, I just came back from a quest on the portent lands. There I was told by the Noble Blackfel the future of the Old World and of the nation that rule it: Bretonnia. These rumours come from the Games Day Fantasy seminar.
"I saw the slide show at the Gen Con Rogue Trader Tournament. The timeline goes something like this:
The looting of the Isle of Albion has sent a surge of magic through the Warhammer world, and this magic is awakening the Tomb Kings from their slumber. (Tomb Kings is the next release.) The Slann Mage Priests see the threat of the Tomb Kings and ready their warriors to combat the rising tide of evil (Lizardmen is next.)
AFTER THE TOMB KINGS AND THE LIZARDMEN ARE RELEASED, THE BRETTONIANS WILL BE RELEASED, but the timeline becomes fuzzy. Next year they will be concentrating on the Black Crusade with Abbaddon, so don't look for any major story changes in the next year. The presenter said something about a possible invasion by the High Elves into Naggaroth led by Eltharion, but I doubt that that will be a campaign."
Others rumours:
" My original post wasn't speculation...it was the information that was presented in the slide show. The reason the Tomb Kings are awakening is the direct result of the Albion campaign. The Lizardmen will become more active (including in the Old World) to restore balance to the world.
THEY DID MENTION THE BEASTMEN, BUT HE SAID THAT THEY AREN'T GOING TO BE RELEASED UNTIL AFTER THE BRETTONIANS. Whether or not this will change I don't know. As things stand right now, however, the Beastmen are a ways away.
The 13th Black Crusade is supposed to hit the Cadian Gate. When the campaign begins GW will release the new plastic Cadians.
Anyway, if they do another slide show at the Dallas Games Day I will take better notes."
Hope it's true...
