Infos zu "the Hobbit"

      versteh gar nicht was ihr alle habt - ich wünsche mir VIEL MEHR Filme in der Qualität von Lotr im Fantasy-Genre.

      Dabei ist es mir egal ob sie bei Lotr/hobbit/wasauchimmer was zusätzlich "erfinden" und ausschmücken. (ist ja nicht so, dass es irgendwie historisch korrekt sein kann...)

      die Story ist doch überall sehr ähnlich - die ultimativen bösen gegen die ultimativen guten... alles kurz vor dem untergang, aber der tolle held rettet in letzter SEKUNDE die Welt.

      Das Problem ist das es keinen Buchhintergrund gibt und das trifft nunmal die HDR Fans, weil hier alles unter dem Titel Herr der Ringe verkauft werden kann obwohl es nur feuchte Träume von Regisseuren sind.

      Deshalb werden die Tolkien Leser/Fans sicher nicht glücklich sein mit so einer Ankündigung da es PJ ja nicht mal im HDR geschafft hat buchtreu zu bleiben, was passiert dann erst wenn er Sachen selbst erfindet?!
      In Mittelerde gibt es nunmal nur einen Herrscher und das ist Tolkien und nicht PJ bzw DelToro

      Den 08/15 Fantasyfans wirds egal sein, den Tolkien Fans nunmal nicht.

      Empire had the chance to speak to Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro about the upcoming "The Hobbit" films, which are set to hit theaters in 2011 and 2012. According to the two filmmakers, the new prequels will NOT bridge the 60-year gap between "The Hobbit" and the start of "Fellowship of The Ring."

      "We've decided to have The Hobbit span the two movies, including the White Council and the comings and goings of Gandalf to Dol Guldur," Del Toro told Empire.

      "We decided it would be a mistake to try to cram everything into one movie," added Jackson. "The essential brief was to do The Hobbit, and it allows us to make The Hobbit in a little more style, if you like, of the [LOTR] trilogy."


      Yesterday, we posted some of Eric Ditzian's interview with Sir Ian McKellen, who plays the wizard Gandalf in the "Lord of the Rings" and upcoming "Hobbit" movies. In one of the more compelling bits, the actor revealed that the scripts for the two films with feature plotlines culled from other J.R.R. Tolkien sources.


      McKellen wouldn't elaborate any further than that, but a recent interview Guillermo del Toro gave to TotalFilm may shed some additional light on what the Gandalf actor was referring to. "We are respecting the structure established by Professor Tolkien because the order of the adventures in 'The Hobbit' is well known to generations and generations of kids," the director said. "You don?t want to be moving stuff like that." So what's new?

      "We will be integrating Gandalf?s comings and goings [into the script] because he does disappear in the book quite often," he continued. "So, as opposed to the book, ?

      Rounding out the Company of Dwarves are Aidan Turner ("Being Human") and Rob Kazinsky ("EastEnders") who play Kili and Fili, respectively. The remaining dwarves will be played by Graham McTavish (Secretariat) as Dwalin; John Callen ("Power Rangers Jungle Fury") as Oin; Stephen Hunter ("All Saints") as Bombur; Mark Hadlow (King Kong) as Dori; and Peter Hambleton ("The Strip") as Gloin.

      Jackson said of Freeman: "Despite the various rumors and speculation surrounding this role, there has only ever been one Bilbo Baggins for us. There are a few times in your career when you come across an actor who you know was born to play a role, but that was the case as soon as I met Martin. He is intelligent, funny, surprising and brave - exactly like Bilbo and I feel incredibly proud to be able to announce that he is our Hobbit."

      Find den Bilbo schonmal ganz gut getroffen aber in Sachen Optik kann man PJ eh keinen Vorwurf machen, dass hat er drauf. Nur sollt er die Finger weg lassen von der Handlung und einfach das Buch umsetzen. :)

      Wobei die Zwerge hier nicht wirklich überzeugen, hoffe das wird noch.

      Bin tlw. sehr skeptisch was das Cast betrifft aber die Maske wirds schon richten.
