Tau railrifle will be 10 pts w/3 to a pathfinder squad strenth 6 ap 3. You can give the pathfinders equipped with them target locks for an additional 7pts/model but then the rifle will get hot (ie plasma gun). In addition the range of the weapon will be 36" and will hit of the BS of the pathfinder. You can use the markerlights of the other squad members to target for the rifle, so there is the sniper roll of 2+.
