-working on new plastic fortress, with interchangeable pieces for each race
-GW is making their own army builder CD and website
-Warhmmer online-unbelievable- due in late 2004
-something about them making an "Allies Book" that will include Tileans, Estalians and new Dogs of War armies.

    Brettonians:

4 plastic boxed sets include Knights (which will make both Errant and Realm knights), Men-at-arms, Bowmen, and Pegasus Knights
two hybrid sets (metal/plastic) for Questing and Grail knights
Bretonnians will be much darker in feel, to fit into the grim nature of Warhammer fantasy
Bowmen sprue will come with palisades, a brazier, and a scrappy dog
Transfers are designed to make heraldry easier, and heraldry will become more important (I believe that some basic heraldry will help indicate knightly virtues)
Trebuchet will include a column being chipped for stone, and a peasant boy resting on the wheelbarrow.
Brets will tie in as Empire allies in War against Chaos, and have stronger connections to the Elves.

    Ogre Kingdoms

Plastic Ogres, done (at least right now) by Brian Nelson (wooo-hooo!)
Ogre Kingdoms are located to the east, past the mountain passes, so to get to Cathay, you must pass through the realms of the Ogres and Chaos Dwarfs.
Ogres will have an Oriental feel, with Mongol-like features
Entire army of "Big Guys" served by Gnoblars (smaller than goblins, but not, apparently, units unto themselves, but modeled on the bases of the Ogres.
Plastic Giant, and Ogres carrying and using Cannons.

    Chaos Dwarfs

There WILL be a Chaos Dwarf army book
Chaos Dwarfs "really should' have had an entry in the Chaos army book, and will be part of the Chaos Army (so other Chaos armies can take them as rare and special slots)
Chaos will get the Hell-cannon, which is a CD invention, and will "preview" the new look of the Chaos Dwarfs, which hasn't been settled yet.
There will almost certainly be a WD preview list for Chaos Dwarfs, as they like how this has allowed feedback from gamers.

    Wood Elves

Wood Elves have been pushed back due to the Chaos campaign and their excitement about the Ogre Kingdoms project.
Wood Elves should look more feral/bestial and will more directly conflict with the beastmen.

    Chaos and Evil in general

Be'lakor (the Harbinger) will get a new Demon Prince model and will be directly competing with Archaon
Brian Nelson and Jes Godwin are working on new Chaos Warrior plastics to complete the line (looking more like the Chaos Knight metals).
I asked about the possibility of expanded rules for "urban" warfare in Fantasy, since the Empire was under seige. This will be explored in the Warhammer General's Guidebook, with more rules and scenarios, as well as in the Storm of Chaos book. Evidently, Archaon will force the Skaven to mutate some units of Marauders, who will be able to scale walls and the like.
One of the armies revisited with a new list in the Storm of Chaos Book will be the Orcs, with a special emphasis on Black Orcs.

    Empire and Forces of Good

Valken is the FIRST champion of Light model. There will be two more (who may or may not also be Valken, as he progresses in influence).
Kislev will appear in Storm of Chaos/White Dwarf/Warhammer Chronicles/Annual with a new army list with the existing Winged Lancers and Horse Archers, as well as the Gryphon Legions and new foot troops (Boyars and Kossars, I believe) as well as Boris Todbringer on a monstrous Polar Bear.
Chaos incursions will also result in a Dwarf Slayer army in Storm of Chaos, with new models/weapons, such as the Axe-thrower, and axes on chains.
Campaign will function largely as the EOT campaign, with no massive changes, but battles will affect the Old World, and also help to determine what direction events move in the future.
