Ja stimmt, die schlanke Figur ist sehr irritierend, vor allem in Bezug auf Frodo, der ja im Buch immer wieder feststellt, dass ihm seine Hosen auf dem Weg langsam aber sicher zu weit werden, da sein Wohlstandsbauch langsam Abschied nimmt.

Fazit: Aragorn hat im Hobbit nichts verloren, als 11-jähriger verbringt er schließlich noch eine fröhliche Kindheit in Revendell (okay, als Gschropp kann er kurz ins Bild um sich dafür zu entschuldigen, dass er beim Elferschießen eine Fensterscheibe zerstört hat, aber das kaufe ich Mortensen nicht ab :rolleyes:).

Ok, ja wieder was gelernt. Ja ich glaub Frodo hat 2 Jahre gebraucht für den Aufbruch mit Umzug usw.

Was ich bei den Hobbits im Film schlimmer finde als das junge Alter, ist die viel zu schlanke Figur, da schauen sie ja aus wie kleine Menschen und nicht wie Hobbits.

Schau mal im Buch (LotR) nach, im Appendix B, der Tale of Years, wie die chronologische Auflistung von Ereignissen heißt, da kann man sichs recht nett ausrechnen:
Jahr 2890: Bilbo wird geboren
2931: Aragorn wird geboren
2941: Bilbo sitzt in Laketown und feiert seinen Geburtstag, kurz bevor er zum ersten Mal auf Smaug trifft. Aragorn ist also 10.
2968: Frodo wird geboren
3001: Bilbo feiert seinen einundelfzigsten Geburtstag und zischt ab, Aragorn ist also 61, Frodo 33.
3018: Frodo bricht an seinem 50er nach Rivendell auf, Aragorn ist 87.

Laut derselben Auflistung treffen Gandalf und Aragorn zum erstan Mal 2056 zusammen, also 15 Jahre nachdem Bilbos Abenteuer stattgefunden hat, als Aragorn 25 Jahre als ist.
Was im Übrigen noch anmerkenswert ist (und jeder fleißige LotR-Leser sowieso wusste), ist, dass Frodos Alter vollkommen falsch ist und die Zeit zwischen Bilbos Abgang und Frodos Aufbruch im Film drastisch verkürzt wurde.
Mit 50 schaut ein Hobbit aus, wie ein Hobbit mit 50 eben ausschaut (wahrscheinlich wie ein Mensch mit 40, aber 29 lass ich mir echt nicht einreden, abgesehen davon, wer sagt denn dass sie jünger aussehen, sie leben nur unwesentlich länger und werden deshalb erst später als erwachsen angesehen), und Bilbo wird im Hobbit ja als respektable, gesetzte und gefestigte Persönlichkeit beschrieben. Wer kann das von sich mit 29 behaupten? Sie habens ja wie oben schon angemerkt mit Frodo in LotR genauso gemacht, ist ja auch okay, wenn sie meinen, dass ist besser fürs Kinopublikum, aber dann sollen sie nicht so einen Unsinn schreiben.

Im Übrigen kommen Hobbits mit 33 "of age"

Hab jetzt textmäßig nix gefunden aber im Film sagt er ja im "Die 2 Türme" er ist 87. Weis jetzt nicht wie genau das stimmt aber 20 Jahre wären zumindest ein Alter indem ein Aragorn auftreten könnte. Viggo wirds aber wohl nicht werden.

Zu Bilbo:
Das Alter würd schon passen, nachdem ja Hobbits erst mit 32 aus dem "Tweens" Alter kommen, da wären die 29 Menschjahre schon glaubwürdig.

Naja, im Hobbit wurde er mit keinem Wort erwähnt, abgesehen davon ist er zur Zeit des Hobbits (der ja ca 61 Jahre vor LotR spielt) so um die 10 Jahre alt. Dürfte also schwierig werden, ihn einerseits sinnvoll in die Story zu integrieren (wohl eher beim unsäglichen Hobbit II), andererseits Viggo Mortensen passend umzu"schminken"

Was die Infos neben dem Schauspieler angeht: Wer recherchiert da eigentlich so einen Schwachsinn? Bilbo hat in Laketown seinen 50er gefeiert... Also nix da mit ca 29...

Pre-production is about to get under way on the two-part "Hobbit." Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens are expected to pen the scripts under the direction of producer Peter Jackson and the film's helmer, Guillermo del Toro.

Preliminary contact has already been made with at least three actors whose "Lord of the Rings" characters also appear in the "Hobbit" storyline: Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), Ian McKellen (Gandalf) and Andy Serkis (Gollum).

"We will all be involved in the script in some fashion but the exact definition is about a week away," said del Toro. "I am all for keeping the actors who originated the parts, as much as availability and their willingness will allow."

Also das Gandall, Gollum vorkommen ist klar aber Aragaorn? Hab ich da was vergessen aus dem Hobbit oder ist der schon für "The Hobbit 2" gecastet?

Finde ich sehr gut, die Stimmung in LotR ist ja viel dramatischer als das kleine unterhaltsame Abenteuer des Bilbo Baggins.

"Well, I had the most charming meeting with Sir Ian [McKellen], and all bureaucracy pending, he's on board, as is Andy Serkis," said del Toro. "We will continue giving you progress reports as the occur. It is our intention that we will not lose any of the key elements."

In a major step forward on "The Hobbit," Guillermo del Toro has signed on to direct the New Line/MGM tentpole and its sequel.

The widely expected announcement - which had been rumored for several weeks - came Thursday afternoon jointly from exec producers Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, New Line president Toby Emmerich, and Mary Parent, newly named chief of MGM's Worldwide Motion Picture Group.

Del Toro's moving to New Zealand for the next four years to work with Jackson and his Wingnut and Weta production teams. He'll direct the two films back to back, with the sequel dealing with the 60-year period between "The Hobbit" and "The Fellowship of the Ring," the first of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

New Line is overseeing development and will manage production. Both pics are being co-produced and co-financed by New Line Cinema and MGM, with Warner Bros. distributing domestically and MGM handling international.

The studios didn't give a start date on production and don't yet have a script. Though no screenplay deal's been set, it's expected that the "LOTR" scripting team of Jackson, Walsh and Philippa Boyens will collaborate with Del Toro.

With Del Toro blocking out four years for the project, it's likely that the studios are aiming at starting shooting next year and releasing the films in late 2011 and 2012.

Jackson's WETA stages, post-production and visual effects facilities - built for "The Lord of the Rings" - will be used for both films. And New Zealand will again be the site of Middle-earth, with the story centering on Bilbo Baggins taking the Ring of Power from Gollum.

Es stellt sich die Frage ob es diesen Film überhaut mal geben wird New Line wird derzeit vom Tolkien Trust verklagt =)

The Tolkien Trust (a British charity that manages the estate of JRR Tolkien) and publisher HarperCollins brought a $150 million lawsuit against New Line Cinema on Monday. The claim says that the trust has not received any of its gross profit participation payments for the three films based on the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. The suit was filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court.

In addition to the $150 million in compensatory damages, the suit seeks punitive damages, and most important, a declaration from the court that the plaintiffs can terminate any further rights New Line may have to the Tolkien works under the agreements -- including "The Hobbit."

According to the suit - although the "Lord of the Rings" films produced by New Line are among the most financially successful films ever created, with worldwide gross receipts of nearly $6 billion - New Line has failed to pay the plaintiffs any portion of the gross profit participation to which they are entitled under their deal.

Bonnie Eskenazi, who represents the trust, said, "New Line has brought new meaning to the phrase 'creative accounting.' I cannot imagine how on earth New Line will argue to a jury that these films could gross literally billions of dollars, and yet the creator's heirs, who are entitled to a share of gross receipts, don't get a penny."

Director Guillermo del Toro spoke to TotalFilm about the upcoming "Hobbit" films, stating that all the rumors floating around about him helming the movies are not exactly true, since nothing is yet finalized.

"Well, the reality is that the Hobbit story has broken early because the negotiations have not ended and The Hobbit is not a sure thing," he explained. "The reality is, I will know that it's happening when we have the final word and I am fully and officially on board."

One thing is for sure, del Toro is dying to direct the movies. "I would LOVE it," he stated. "I bought all the Tolkein books that were available in Mexico when I was 11 years old, but the one that I read at 11 years old was The Hobbit. So it left an indelible mark in my imagination."

@Guthwine: Ich meinte das eigentlich, um anzuzeigen, dass es Bücher gibt, aus denen du einzelne Geschichten herauspicken könntest (und ich bin auch gegen eine Verfilmung des Silmarillion).

Also, wenn sie den Silmarillion in 3 Bücher aufspalten, verstünde ich es eher,.....

Also das wäre das Verbrechen überhaupt. Es ist bei HDR schon viel rausgefallen durch die Verfilmung, aufs Silmarillion umgelegt wäre das ja wirklich schon vergewaltigung. Ich hoffe das die Urgeschichte von Tolkien niemals den Weg auf die Leinwand findet, man kann es einfach nicht verfilmen!

Naja wenn man dem Gerücht was Elijah Wood im Interview vorbringt glauben schenken darf sollte der zweite Teil ein erzählerischer Brückenschlag von Hobbit 2 auf HdR 1 sein.

Vorallem sollte man nicht vergessen das die ganzen DVDs dann noch in HD/Blue-Ray kommen auch wenn HD ja schon Tod ist.

Ich bin zwar gespannt sehe das aber als böse Entwicklung was Verfilmungen von anderen Mehrteilern betrifft.
