Warmaster Elite Unit Competition

Our new article writing competition is for Warmaster. What we?d like you to do is design a special elite unit for your favourite army. Warmaster has quite deliberately shunned using special rules for lots of different troop types in the army lists, as it is a game about grand strategy rather than close?up tactics. However, for the purposes of this contest we?re going to allow submissions.

Your entry can feature either an existing troop type available to your chosen race in Warhammer, like High Elf Swordmasters or Dwarf Hammerers. Alternatively, you can design a unique ?one-off? unit. The submission should have an introduction, a background piece (no more than 1,500 words) and the rules, including characteristics and any special rules. If you have modelling skills you can also convert and paint your new elite unit and send pictures with your submission, although you don?t have to.
When your submission is ready, send it as an attached file (not in the body of the email) to submission Fanaticsubmissions@games-workshop.co.uk or as a digital file on a CD/DVD to the usual postal address.

The closing date for this is 7th of January 2008. The winner will get a 1,000 point Warmaster army of his (or her) choice. Get writing and I?m looking forward to announce the results next year!
