Intelligence report to the headquarters of the Western Desert Force based in Cairo, Egypt..

25th of January, 1941

The unofficial informer no. 17, known as "Wahid", reports from Tripoli that an Italian convoy, consisting of 6 freighting ships has arrived in the harbour of Tripoli in the late evening of the 23th.

All of the 24th the ships had been disembarked. The procedure had been heavily secured by Italian field police units.
Wahid reports that he has encountered at least one armoured unit in company strenght. The design of the tanks was Italian, presumably the new M13/40 medium tank. He reports to have seen a divisional marking on one tank, which could have been a battering ram.

This copes with our scarce intelligence reports from Italy, which tell us that the Commando Supremo is transferring units to Tripoltania in order to secure their hold on it.
According to the divisional marking it can be presumed that these tanks belong to the 132nd "Ariete" ( Italian for battering ram )

However, the division isn´t believed to be at full strength before June/July..
