Von Portent:
At the GW winter open day today, Andy Chambers informs us at his seminar that new marine terminators will be plastic, with lots of parts for easy conversion and chapter-specific parts. he also told us that the normal marines will be getting some sprues similar to the space wolves one with the extra stuff, but for blood angels, dark angels and 'others', but they won't be too specific, so you can use them with your own chapter. codex will use doctrines similar to the guard one, but more varied. plastic drop-pod in planning stages, to hold 5-10 marines. wave serpent out late 2004, looks good. witch hunters 'judgement chair' special character, similar to penitent engine, but with three blokes on it and a master-crafted multi-melta. immolator includes multi-meltas, flamers and heavy bolters 'holy trinity' style. stained glass window on front, similar to clear necron plastic parts, but clear plastic, not green. adeptus mechanicus army list coming up, all servitors and techpriests are 'pilot models'. ork codex updates and clan rules in white dwarf soon. farsight enclaves: exact andy quote ''we're working on that with... i shouldn't really say... no, we're working on it.'' someone afterwards hinted that kais from fire warrior is to feature in two more games, and eventually become commander farsight, who does have kais as part of his name. forgeworld making reaver titan, chaos plane looks very 'flat' and 'pointy'. forgeworld also plan to release tau vehicle variants and weapon swaps.
andy also said new marine tanks were no happening. after vindicator, whirlwind and other razorback, no more tanks are being made for a while until... ''two or three new land raider variants, not the same as the forgeworld ones.'' imperial guard greatcoats boxed set, approx 5 years wait. new guard doctrine, for chapter approved or codex revision inclusion: swap chimeras for rhinos. 40k boxed game- yes only one, marines and nids, includes objective marker, like a crashed spacecraft, to make it look like you are actually fighting for something useful.
alien hunters codex, puritans to use deathwatch scouts, marines and termies, radicals to use aliens: squads or whole armies. henchmen to include new alien races including a squat/demiurg.
at the warhammer world open day, today, andy chambers told us:
marine termies in plastic

chaos ones several years after that
marines to get chapter specific sprues
SM armies to use doctrines
plastic drop pod, in planning
2 or 3 new land raider variants

radicals to use alien units or armies
henchmen including new aliens
and a squat/demiurg

harlies all metal, but coming back
exodites in the planning stages
eldrad replacement, actually another farseer
avatar: special character, getting a save
dark eldar getting major revamp
chaos to get lucius the eternal,
not for a while though.
