Anthony has finished the first WE Draft list and is in the proceeds of looking at concept sketches and other bits and pieces for them. Release date has not been set but as the new 40K is set for October release, it won't be until February 2005 at the earliest."
"7th Edition Warhammer ideas are being brought together which will be the next big thing after WE. The new edition will not change any of the current Warhammer books."
"New ideas include further small books like Kislev, possible allies list and a whole host of future scenarios "
"Anthony also talked about redoing the skaven book and VC book so that the skaven list is not so horrible unbalanced (as now accepted by everyone in GW) and to give the VC book some proper character so that a strogi list looks different to von castien list which looks different to a lahmia list."
"I pointed out many unfair bits in Warhammer and Anthony talked about changing the way shooting works so you could have volley fire and to change and clarify the way combat works. Also magic will get re-worked. Its generally excepted by the GW team that magic is not what it should be and Anthony even revealed that he like the old card system (woohoo) but could not bring it back due to the cost of translating the cards (* I Swear too much * I would do it for free if they asked) so the next editions magic, whilst would still keep with the dice system will see power dice being randomly rolled up so that the amount of magic is not dependant on the number of wizards you bring. This can only be seen as a good thing IMHO and hopefully will put an end to the stupid amounts of power dice and scroll caddies you see out there."
