Forgeworld
- Imperial Armour II. All pretty much old hat (Marine & =I= vehicles), but the twin-gun arm dread is the Mortis Dread for DA and Unforgiven Chapters only. HS slot, 65pts plus 2 twin-linked weapons (either h bolters or acannon)
- Eagle Drop-pod. This bad fella is the FW version of the crashed shuttle terrain included in the battle for Maccrage set (see below). Imagine a top view looking like the Imperial eagle symbol and that's pretty much what it looks like. The idea is that it's a character delivery pod - screams out of orbit, lands on some feet, and the pod section slides down (like the cargo bits of thunderbirds 2). Looks very cool.
- Some wierd tracked equipment bits...didn't get chance to ask what these were - one looked like a fuel tank, another like a generator. Think there was a third with general baggage on it. Had tow bars to be pulled by IG tanks?
V4 40k
- Battle for Macragge. Includes a rule booklet which has the first 96 pages of the full rulebook plus a few little missions. There are 4 sprues. The SM sprue has a 10-man squad, 1 flamer, 1 missile. The serg has a bp and chainsword, and a cool rebreather. All 10 minis are very cool and dynamic for being plug and play. The SM sprue also has some beacons and kit for the crashed shuttle, and the pilot - he has a name (Lieutenant somebody) and is carrying a little pack of precious geneseed (hence the narrative for the missions). Oh, and in his rules he has a special one-handed bolter.
Sprue 2 & 3 have the stealers and gaunts on it - I forget how many, but quite a few of these guys. The stealers look way cooler than that ugly preview pic. Oh, and there's a spore chimmney vent.
Sprue 4 is the crashed dropship. Looks as cool as the preview pics. Tim Adcock told me that to make it, they took a resin copy of FW's complete model, then smashed it with a hammer!
- Full rulebook. It was tricky to see and memorise anything from this, but I can tell you that 40k in 40mins was ommitted because of space constraints, but they have put in rules for Kill Teams, plus put in a load of cool example converted forces (including eldar pirates using guardian and high elf sprues). The artwork is fantastic - loads of Blanche sketches used (I know some folks won't like that). Looks grand The book has gone to be proof read and will go into production shortly.

Q: Did you notice what kind of weapons the gaunts are supplied with? Was it like they are now, half shooting and half scytals? Or were they all scytal, or all shooting -- dDo you get arms to equip all as either type
A: As far as I recall it was all shooty...but don't quote me on that. I was too busy looking at the stealers to think about the gaunts/gants or whatever they were. BTW if you're interested, the stealers follow the current gaunt/gant way of assembly - you get the torso and one set of arm/legs with a socket to add in the second set of arm/legs - a bit different to the current plastics
Q: Is the Genestealers head separate?
A: No.
Q: Does it have the big monkey nostrils that the WIP pics showed ?
A: They're there, but much less big and monkey-ish than you'd assume from the WIP pics.
