      Irgendwann wirds peinlich und der Punkt ist glaub ich bald erreicht was die Star Wars Filme angeht. Für manche ist der Punkt schon mit der letzten Trilogie überschritten worden für einige mit der neu Überarbeitung der Original Trilogie und für so manchen erst jetzt mit dem Clone Wars Klamauk und der Idee alle 6 Filme in die 3D Technik zu überführen.
      Irgendwann sollte George das ganze ruhen lassen...

      Just when you thought that George Lucas couldn't squeeze another penny out of the "Star Wars" franchise, he finds a new way of getting you to empty your wallets.

      ComingSoon caught up with DreamWorks Animations CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, who revealed that Lucas is looking to re-purpose the six "Star WarS" episodes into 3-D format. Katzenberg added that Lucas is extremely excited about this and that he's got the technical resources to pull it off.

      "He isn't going to put a product out, I think, that isn't anything other than first rate," Katzenberg said.

      Until Lucas finds the time and money to convert his films into 3-D, fans can satisfy their "Star Wars" addiction by checking out the animated "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" in theaters on August 15th. The new movie will also set up an animated series that will premier on Cartoon Network in the fall.

      JAWOHL! aber laß dir noch ein paar jahre zeit george, denn dann kann ich mir einen lebenstraum erfüllen und mit meinen kindern gemeinsam StarWars im kino schauen.

      quelle würd mich da aber trotzdem interessieren. mir ist bekannt, dass er das original nochmal überarbeiten wollte, der letzte feinschliff seines lebenswerkes, sozusagen, aber 3D ist mir jetzt neu.

      ComingSoon.net caught up with DreamWorks Animations CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg on Tuesday and learned that George Lucas is looking to repurpose the six "Star Wars" episodes into 3D format.

      Katzenberg told us that Lucas is very excited about it and that he's got the technical resources to pull it off. "He isn't going to put a product out, I think, that isn't anything other than first rate," Katzenberg said.

      Die Simpsons greifen George Lucas und seinen ewigen Verbesserungswahn auch einmal auf und bessre als sie kann man die Problematik nicht auf den Punkt bringen ;)

      Das ist "milk the cash cow" aller Lucas. Die Filme werden eh nicht viel reinspielen aber Star Wars wird wieder aktuell und das Merchandising wird wieder Kohle bringen.

      George Lucas spoke to AP about some of the upcoming "Star Wars" projects he has going on, including converting the six "Star Wars" film using new 3-D technology.

      First, he has the animated "Star Wars: Clone Wars" appearing in theaters on August 15th, which will be followed in the fall by an animated TV series by the same name, airing on Cartoon Network and TNT. Then, Lucas plans a live-action "Star Wars" TV series. And finaly, all that will lead us to the 3-D movies.

      "We're trying to do that," Lucas said of his plan to convert the six installments. "We worked on some, with a company that was developing the technology a few years ago to convert films into 3-D, we worked with them. But the system works great. It's just not very practical. So what we've been working on since then is to develop a sort of practical way to do it. And we will get there. It's just a technological challenge."

      So there you have it, expect "Star Wars" to appear on TV and the big screen for the next decade, after which Lucas will probably begin remaking his films.


      Irgendwie bin ich gespannt um was es bei der Serie mit Schauspielern gehen wird. Also was man so liest steht uns in ein paar Jahren der Xte Rerelease von Sta r Wars ins Haus :rolleyes:
