      Here is the draft version of the rules pack, it has to be double checked to see, if we left anything out or misspeled something, but you will get the general idea.

      RULES PACK FOR WAB EVENT IN SLOVENIJA


      The date of the event: 18-19 April 2009

      Place of the event: Dom RAK, Rakov Škocjan 2, p.p. 63, 1380 Cerknica
      The event is located inside natural preserved area, Rakov Škocjan, which is a series of natural bridges, rivers, ponds, karstic structures and so on. In the vicinity there is also Cerkniško jezero, a unique lake of its kind, because it is only present in certain periods of the year.       If you need a pickup from the airport, we can pick you up.

      Armies allowed: Hannibal, Aleksander, AoA, Shieldwall, Fall of the West, BtGG

      Army size: 1500 points and 2000 points (all players must have army lists for 1500 and 2000 points)

      The purpose of the event: to organize an event, where players from different countries can meet and play relax games of WAB all weekend. There will be a campaign, composed mostly from scenarios.

      Deadline for registration: 1st of March 2009

      Accommodation costs: The cost for the event is 45 Euro (2 night?s accommodation, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners). Because we expect that most players will arrive on Friday, we rented the house from Friday afternoon (from approx. 17.00 on) until Sunday afternoon (around 17.00-18.00). If you need accommodation before or after the event, please, let us know and we will try to help you. The costs for the event should be send to the following bank account (SI56020100253750220) at the time of registration.

      Plan for the event:

      Friday afternoon: Arrival of participants and introduction of the players, dividing players in two groups
      Saturday: Start of the scenario based campaign in the morning, the results in the evening decide, which side is the attacker in Sunday?s siege
      Sunday: Start of the massive siege (all players) in the morning, around 17.00-18.00 the end of the event

      The rules for the campaign:

      On Friday all players are divided in two groups. Each group decides, which player is the general (each group must have only one general). Players will play a series of scenarios (1 player vs. 1 player or 2 players vs. 2 players) on Saturday and the winning group will be attacker on Sunday?s siege (one group against the other).

      The method for determining the scenarios is following:
      There will be a map presented at the event (the size of the map will be adjusted according to the number of participating players). Map will be divided into squares with symbols, which mark different scenarios from the WAB rulebook and Siege&Conquest supplement. The scenarios are following: ?Raid?, ?Last stand?, ?City fight?, ?Caravan?, ?River crossing?, ?Cattle raid? and ?Ambush?. All squares in the middle of the map have a number, which indicates, how many of the players from each group can fight that scenario (the middle of the map also marks the starting point for the both groups, which is worth 0 points). Both generals consult their players, which players want to play a specific scenario. After the battle the winners move one square toward enemy capitol in the same row and the losers move one square towards own capitol in the row. Should the general be killed during the battle, a new one must be chosen, but must be one of the players nearest to the middle of the map. Players may switch rows after each battle, but can not play the same scenario every turn. At the end of the day calculate points in the following way (each player gets +1 point for each square he moved away from the starting position towards enemy capitol and -1 point for each square he moved towards his capitol. Each kill of the general gives +1 to the side that killed it. Add the points for all the players in the group. The group with most points will be attacker in the siege next day. In case of a tie both generals have to agree, which side will be the attacker on Sunday).

      On Sunday there will be a big siege battle, which will determine the winner.
