At Long last! Chaos Rumors!
-It looks like Chaos will be released in three books. Chaos Warriors and Daemons will be released this summer. Beastmen, along with monsters of chaos, will be released in 2003. The third book will describe special characters, like the last edition, and probably will be out this year.
-Technically, all three types of chaos will be classed as one army-they can all be represented on the tabletop. ie, a Beastlord can take Chaos Warriors and Daemons.
-Depending on who your general is will depend who is core, who is special, who is rare. If your General is a Beastlord then Beastmen are core, Greater Daemon/Daemon Prince then Daemons are core, for a Chaos Lord Chaos Warriors and Marauders are core.
-Chaos Knights and Chariots are quite possibly going to be core, but cant be sure.
-Chaos Knights have heavy armor and 1 attack. 1 unit per army may be upgraded to THE CHOSEN who have Chaos Armour and 2 (TWO) attacks. Other units of knights will not have this option.
- There will be new Bloodletters and Horrors.
-Greater Daemons will have new heads available, possibly two/three per box like the Giant has.
-The mutations sprue in the Chaos Space Marines box will also be appearing in the Chaos Warrior box.
-In a subsequent post Gav Thorpe stated that this was in fact true. He also implied that units would get marks and went on to say that there will be an "in progress" Beasts of Chaos in White Dwarf 6 months after Hordes of Chaos (presumably the title to the Chaos Warrior/Daemon book) is released so people can use their Chaos Trolls, Ungors, etc.
