Changes to the Empire armybook in 7th edition
This document only lists the changes, everything that isn't mentioned stays the same (Steam Tank charging, magic item descriptions, etc.).
Lords
Arch Lector
Can ride War Altar (100 points).
Grand Master
Costs -15 points.
Heroes
Warrior Priest
Costs -5 points.
He and unit joined have Hatred (i.e., against everyone).
His Prayers are Power Level 4.
Prayers:
● Hammer of Sigmar: Re-roll failed to hit and to wound rolls (doesn't affect magic weapons). RiP.
● Armour of Right: Model gains 4+ Ward save. RiP.
● Soulfire: Enemies in base contact suffer D6 S4 hits (S5 on Undead, Daemon, Forest Spirit), no armor saves allowed.
● Unknown: Priest and unit Unbreakable. RiP.
● Healing Hand: Hasn't changed.
Master Engineer
Costs +10 points.
Can take:
● Grenade Launching Blunderbuss (10 points, S5 move-or-fire shortbow)
● Pigeon Bombs (25 points, no range, LOS, move-or-fire, S4, small template, 1/6 chance of hitting self, 1/3 chance of hitting target)
● Mechanised Horse: Barded warhorse with WS1, S4, I1, D3 impact hits (25 points).
Battle Wizard
Costs +5 points.
Core Units
Free Companies
Lost their Light armor option.
Huntsmen
Unit size: 10-20
Count towards the required amount of Core units.
Champion costs -1 point.
Halberdiers
Cost -1 point.
Champion costs -2 points, standard costs -2 points, musician costs -1 point.
Spearmen
Cost -1 point.
Champion costs -2 points, standard costs -2 points, musician costs -1 point.
Swordsmen
Cost -1 point.
Handgunners
Champion can take swap his handgun for a Brace of Pistols at no extra cost.
Crossbowmen
Are State Troops.
White Wolves
Cost -2 points.
Have a great weapon.
Are simply one of the Knightly Orders (see below).
Knightly Orders
Can swap their lance and shield for a great weapon at no extra cost.
Inner Circle Knights are a Special choice.
Special Units
Great Swords
Cost -2 points.
Are no longer limited to 0-1 unit per army.
Unit size: 5+.
Pistoliers
Cost -1 point.
Can have a musician (7 points).
Champion can't take a repeater handgun.
Outriders
Identical to Pistoliers, with the following changes:

Have +1BS
Have repeater handguns
Can have barding (2 points)
Champion costs +9 points
Champion can take a repeater pistol (free) or a hochland long rifle (5 points).
Rare Units
Hellblaster
Cost -15 points.
Range 24", S5, armour piercing. Roll 3 Artillery Dice to get the number of hits.
Flagellants
Cost -1 point.
Have -1T.
Champion costs -2 points.
Are no longer limited to 0-1 unit per army.
One unit may be taken as a Core unit if you have at least one Warrior Priest or Arch Lector.
Have Frenzy and never lose it.
May martyr D3 models at start of combat (don't count for CR):
The amount that sacrifice themselves determines the bonus (these are cumulative):
● 1 = Hatred
● 2 = Re-roll failed wounding rolls
● 3 = +1CR.
These bonuses last until the end of the close combat phase.
Helstorm Rocket Battery
Costs 115 points
Range 12-48", S5, uses large template to determine models hit.
Steam Tank
Is the Conquerer version (cannon, steam gun, 300 points).
Is a war machine.
Hull Points and related rules (front, side, rear arcs, etc.) are gone.
Has T6, W10 and US10
Has a 1+ armour save.
Cannon has +2" range. If fired, inflicts D3 S2 hits, no armour save on units in base contact with front of tank
Steam gun is S2, no armour save.
Steam Points:
Must build up Steam Points or can't do anything. May build up 1-5. Roll a D6 and add the amount you want to build up. If total is more than its remaining Wounds, it loses 1 Wound and doesn't generate any Steam Points (and thus can't do anything that turn). One Steam Point allows it to move 3" or fire the steam gun. Two Steam Points allow it to fire the cannon.
