Grey Knights aus Plastik !

    ARGHHHH

I just got back from Games Day Canada today, and over the weekend had a lot of opportunity to talk to Jes Goodwyn. Those amazing Grey Knights look so much better in person, it's hard to believe they're the same models as in the pics that have been posted. They simple ooze detail, and the heads are a bit different from what we're used to but they are supposed to be quite different and special. At no point did he indicate that the Grey Knight Termis would be transferred into metal, but then again I didn't ask specifically.

Jes told me that the new Termis he plans on making will most likely just be better incarnations of the old models. The only real design change he mentioned wanting to do was keeping the chest sticking out farther than the belt, like you see on those Grey Knight Termis. Aside from that, he simply wanted to make the kit more like the Tactical Squad kit. A couple variants of the parts, as well as more exciting looking poses. He says that the switch to 40mm bases allows a lot more freedom to sculpt the buggers, the main reason the old ones look so "squashed" in terms of poses is because they had to fit on the bases they came with ;)Expect more nifty poses like the new ones. Aside from that, he says everything else will remain essentially the same. I'm sure some of you will be relieved to hear he plans on keeping the helmets the same as the older ones.

Of course all that's just his "concept" work for the new Termis, and he hasn't actually made them at all yet. Hopefully they come out like he said: like the old ones but better.

And in case you were wondering at all about the other models in the case with the Grey Knights, there were 2 Inquisitors, what looked like a Fanatic with eviscerator, an Astropath, and if I had to guess two scribes/sevants. Sort of like Aemos from the Eisenhorn trilogy, they looked like the non-combat members of the Inquisitor's retinue. Also, about a half dozen different servo skulls that were really hard to make out any detail on. In the background is what looks like a new Cypher model... but I completely forgot to ask about that.
