Gerüchte: Echsenmenschen

      schön schön aber was ich so sehe kommt der snakeman nicht rein...egal^^
      kann mir denken das die skinks S2 haben sauruse S3 dafür bewegung 5 kroxi 4 mit 3+ RW mit l rüst. und saurusheros 5.

      aber mal sehen und wie schon gesagt abwarten und tee trinken ;)

      ach ja carnosaurus steht bei mir jetzt in einem anderem licht, der isn hammer fu++oida geil kein großes ziehl mehr xD ich werd nicht mehr haha!!!!

      Ich verfolge die Gerüchte jetzt schon länger und hab mich bis auf ein paar Bemerkungen größtenteils herausgehalten, jetzt halt ichs nimmer aus^^

      Ich betrachte das Ganze mit gemischten Gefühlen, der bisherige Spielstil der Echsen wird nicht mehr so toll funktionieren wie ich meine.
      Die Änderungen beim Slann gefallen mir gut, aber er wird definitiv schwächer, sofern man ihn nicht mit Unmengen von Punkten upgradet.
      Der Carno ist einfach top, wirklich einer der Gewinner des neuen ABs, trotzdem zweifel ich ein wenig an seiner Effizienz, Werte allein sagen noch nix...
      Dass das Amulett weg ist, ist wie ein Stich ins Herz, da nützt das Upgrade des Widerstandes beim HN auch nix, auch die Spawns vermiss ich jetzt schon...
      Kroxis waren schon jetzt nicht soo toll, jetzt nur noch mit S6?
      Und was zum Henker soll das mit den Teras? Imba Imba??
      Von der seltenen und Elitesektion möcht ich gar nicht sprechen...Zu viel bereitet da Unmut. Nciht weils zu schwach wird, eher ein wenig bizarr.
      Naja, aber allein die Modelle bereiten Lust auf mehr und im Allgemeinen ist ja alles was neu ist, allein schon deswegen probierenswert.
      Ich werd den Echsen wohl trotzdem treu bleiben, bitte weiter mit Infos versorgen ;)

      Scarborough Town Centre has the liz armybook for show/preview.

      So here is some comfirmations/corrections:

      There is an entire half page devoted to mixed units for us, as it states lizardmen are the main army that has a prevelance of this. It says when dealing with a mixed unit, count the spots taken up by the 'larger models/whatever term it used', asif they were the normal ranked models...so yes, krox and slann still count as full ranks.

      * Saurus are 11 pts, not 10
      * temple guard are 16, not 15
      * saurus cav are the same as current, not cheaper

      * it appears Tetto'eko CAN join units of temple guard OR skinks...the wording allows this as it says MAY join skinks instead of temple guard (this is big for me since i plan to buy 4 boxes of temple guard...20 for slann, 20 for tetto'eko whenever i may use him)

      * I won't put the pt cost here, but TikTaqTo is VERY expensive...he is over 300 pts, just like Chakax..

      * Yes, TikTaqto has a special rule that he CAN join terradon units as their 'squad leader' basically...heheh

      * terradons still have hit & run but it's weaker now i think. it refers to a rule in the BRB called "feigned flieght or something' that is for fast cavalry. There may be some addendum to it but i didn't read the entire entry for it. I forgot to check about the rock thing

      * salamanders work as follows: place the flame template at their mouth in a direction you wish that you have line of sight. Then roll the artillery dice andmove it forward that many inches. One you find it's position, treat it as a breathe weapon basically.

      * razordons DO get 2 art. dice when stand and shoot but 1 otherwise

      * engine of the gods does reduce casting cost by 1...NOT 3.

      * skinks in howdaw of a stegadon get a 3+ AS. If i saw it correctly, ancient steg grants 2+.

      Some stuff that annoyed me...

      As people here know, the fact that we don't have our own lore pissed me off too no end..but that aside as i have accepted that...

      * the 2nd or 3rd page..has a beautiful full page artwork of a liz army going to battle..in the pic, is a skink priest guy riding...a COATL!!! I immediately flipped to the back to check, hoping maybe this was kept a secret for this long...Sadly NO...they have the damn pic in one of the main artworks of the book, and they have a large passage talking aboout Coatls...but alas, even though it be fun, fluffy, and makes sense, we don't get it... *sigh*

      * the cold one rider art sucks...it follows the art from our cold ones, so they have those stupid looking heads and hands..rest of the art is quite good for the most part

      * mazdamundi has a 4+ ward, but no ward for the stegadon.
      * kroak has a 3+ ward..he still has the -1 to hit, but he no longer turns magic weapons into mundane (DAMNIT!!! they really made him bite!) One good thing, his PD, get added to the free pool so anyone can use them.

      * our item section bites.

      Basically we have the same weapons as now, except that the blade of realities is 75 pts and can instant kill stuff if they fail a ld test (no saves, regen, etc are allowed)

      Banners, i didn't get a good look as i had to leave due to the wife, but the skavenpelt banner is there (the one that was in the lustria book) but i forgot if its skink only. Overall, i did see the 100 pt banner (krygor one) but forgot to confirm what it does. may go back tomorrow to check hehe

      Overall, from what I do remember glancing over it..nothing hit me as stuff i'd really want to use, so don't expect the cool type of banners vampires, warriors, dark elves, and daemons got.

      we only have 3 talismans (the same 3 as now, but aura of quetzl now sucks as it's not a 4+ ward...sorry, but -1 to hit won't save our oldbloods from the type of stuff that they would need a talisman for anyways).

      * enchanted items....nothing really new that i remember...i saw the rod of storms (bound uranon's), jaguar charm (bound steed), forgot the rest...but again..our item section is a big let down.

      The art of the skink priest on the coatl makes me want to sculpt a coatl now for a GD entry..so i will prob do that and hope that in 8E, we get more stuff as all armies deserve.

      Ok guys.....was at scar town for 2 hours...and read over the book (other than all the fluff, but i did read some and will comment) a few times over.

      Here it goes:

      ***** UNITS *****

      Gor-rok - 215, in first round of combat, can reroll all failed rolls to hit, enemies have to reroll to wound him and he's immune to KB

      Tehenuain - 250, no regenerating swarm rule as Lustria book and can't join swarms as before. He now can ride an ancient steg or engine of the gods. All skinks HATE all skaven models/units.

      Mazdamundi - chooses 1 entire lore+ ruination , has the discipline = reroll miscast result, his standard is the sun standard. counts as magical, but here is one of the dumbest things...IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING!!!! in 6E trial rules, the standard blinded enemies so flying models could only charge with ground movement rate...

      Chakax - his rules have been a bit misrepresented. If he joins a TG unit THAT is proteecting a slann..THEN he makes the entire unit Unbreakable

      Slann - Can join saurus BUT if the join any NON-TEMPLE GUARD UNIT, they go in the front rank only. Temple guard allow them to be in 2nd rank. They CAN be a BSB

      TicTaqto - his terradon is zwup (some comments on this later)...after dropping his rocks, the terradon gains KB

      Skinks heroes can take an army standard but then they can't go shopping. sAme with saurus heros. Slann can take a BSB but are then allowed 100 pts of items on top of the BSB cost.

      Forgot to check if skinks on terradons can join units

      Temple guard - remain Special even with a slann. They do become Immune to Psych and gain Stubborn when joined by slann however.

      Salamanders/razordons = 75 pts for both. That buys 1 dino + 3 skinks. 5 pts extra gives you 1 more skink. 4 skinks is max per dino.

      Skinks/chameleons/krox/salamanders/razordons are all still aquatic

      skinks - ranked skinks can take full command (std = 8 pts..forgot the rest)

      Engine of the Gods- 290 pts. My error..Not 255 as i stated before. (290 is before the priest cost it appears...someone said its after the priest cost but it doesn't sound like it)

      ***** BANNERS (this is all the banners in the book...i don't think i missed any) *****

      Totem of Prophecy - cause fear. 50 pts

      Plaque of Dominion - each enemy magic phase, choose a wizard if any within 24 (or is it 18?) inches. It must make a stupidity check. 50 pts

      Sun Std of Chotec - Enemies shooting at bearer within 12 inches suffer -2, they suffer -1 if greater than 12 inches away. 40 pts.

      Huanchi totem - adds 1d6 to charge. one use only. I think still 40 pts.

      Jaguar std - same as now. i think 25 pts.

      skavenpelt (skinks only) - makes unit gain frenzy. 25 pts

      ***** ARCANE ITEMS *****

      Cupped hands of old one (described as a sphere of light that makes a shield around the caster) - 2+ ignore miscast. If enemy mage within 24 i think it was, it bounces miscast to them (forgot if dice roll needed). 45 pts i believe. ONE USE ONLY

      Inxi grubs - gives +3 to a spell but can be used after you roll rest of dice and decide what you want to do. ONE USE ONLY. 20 pts I think.

      Plaque of tepoc - 15 pts. gives you one more spell

      cube of darkness - as current

      diadem - as discussed, only changes PD into DD. 35 pts i think

      Rod of the storm - 35 i think. ONE USE ONLY. Bound uranon's

      ***** ENCHANTED ITEMS *****

      blood statue - 25 or 30 pts - same as now

      drums of Xuhatec (already mentioned prior)

      Horn of Kygor - stubborn alll cav within 12 inches and enemy cav fears the item holder. 100 pts

      Divine plaque prot - 2+ ward for shooting. (forgot cost)

      Bane head - same as current

      dragonfly of quicksilver - as current

      venom of firefly frog - as current (forgot cost)

      curse charm of tepok - as current. ONE USE ONLY

      Cloak of feathers (can't remember if this was arcane item) - as current but can't remember if pt costs the same or 40.



      ***** WEAPONS (should be all of them) *****

      blade of realities - 75. LD check for enemy per hit (NOT WOUND...just hit). if they fail, die with no saves, etc allowed.

      Tzunki blade - same as now

      Piranha blade - same as now

      stegadon spear - skink chief only, 50 pts, 2d6+1 instead of 1d6+1 impact hits. counts as lance.

      hornet sword - same

      staff lost sun - same

      burning blade of chotec - same

      dagger sotek - same

      ***** ARMOUR **** (there are only 4 total...maiming, steg helm, mirrored, and the cold one armour)

      steg helm - +1 as, all units that need to rally within 12 inches, are considered to have +1 LD as long as helmet wearer is not running.

      Regarding the miniatures. I saw the stegadon, one side of body looks strange due to the legs and length of body..maybe it just me and tail is very stubby. I will prob resculpt part of it to make it longer. Otherwise, it's cool.

      sodale :)lange rede kurzer sinn,das AB gibts nun im gw store zur einsicht. da ich kein fantasy kenner bin verweis ich darauf,da ich mir nicht viel gemerkt habe und auch nicht den unterschied zwischen alt/neu aufzählen könnte :)
      nur folgendes blieb hängen^^
      -es gibt einen ehrwürdigen stegadon jetzt,der trägt statt der ursprünglichen bewaffnung die maschine der götter,da gibts 3 modi dafür. entweder kriegt alles in 12" einen 5er retter oder jede einheit in 2w6 zoll kriegt 2w6 treffer der S4(S5 gegen untote/dämonen/waldgeister),auch die im hth..den dritten hab ich nicht gemerkt,war irgendwas gegen beschuss
      -keine male mehr,nur noch "skills",die kosten glaub ich 50P pro(slann kann max 4 wählen,sind sachen wir:furchtlos,er kann eine lehre wählen-von der kennt er alle sprücherln dann,keine zauberpatzer,gegnerischer magier nach wahl kann keine totale mehr machen(alle 6er zählen einfach nicht mehr zum wurf dazu^^) und noch ein paar)
      -9 spec chars,die haben es auch insich..zb der eine spec slann mit einem spruch für komplexität 20+ (eine einheit in 24" kriegt 2w6 treffer der S4(S5 gegen dämonen)..find ich nicht soo prickelnd,aber was weiß ich schon :)
      -teuerster gegenstand ist ein schwert für 75P,wo der gegner für jede wunde einenmw test schaffen muss,sonst auto-tot :) dann gibts noch ein schwert mit +2A und noch ein paar scherze
      -teuerstes banner sind 50P
      -kroxis nur S4 basis,dafür über skinks drüber-hauen
      -sehr viel fluff drinnen :) u.a eine erklärung der sprache(wofür auch immer^^)
      -salamander haben jetzt eine flammenattacke die sich att-würfel weit bewegt,S3 und -3 Rüstung
      gibt noch irgendwelche salamander,glaub die einzige "neue" einheit im codex

      ja..aber schaut am besten selbst :)
      GW-Regeln sind nicht immer gerecht, dafür aber meist schlecht gebalanced.
