Gerade bei solchen Filmen schadet es imho nicht die brutale Realität zu zeigen, man soll ja aus dem Film rausgehen und abgestoßen sein vor so viel Gewalt.

Das wird wohl ganz sicher der Grund sein für den Grad der Gewaltdarstellung in Rambo

da stimm ich sofort und vorbehaltslos zu. der grund ist dass es genug kasperln gibt die das höchst amüsant finden. und ich bitte jetzt aber auch darum nicht zu denken dass ich es gut heisse wenn menschen auf unnatürliche weise ums leben kommen, da sei jetzt dahingestellt wie, aber das MG war einfach sehr dakka und das hat mich dazu hingerissen.
Und was SAW angeht da hab ich mir noch gar keinen Teil angeschaut weil ich das einfach zu..grauslig find. Rambo kann ich einfach nicht ernst nehmen, der fällt fast in eine Kategorie mit alten splatterfilmen, und darum auch meine wenig ernste sichtweise des films.

Das kann ich verstehen, nur ich hab halt das Gefühl, dass sich der Film schon ernst nimmt und da passt sowas dann nicht.

In Kill Bill kommt das ganz anders rüber und da ist es so überzeichnet, dass es schon nicht mehr realistisch ist. Vielleicht ist es das, Rambo IV ist mir beim töten zu realistisch und ernst.

Vielleicht ein wenig scheinheilig, aber ich kann nix dafür ;-).

Kann nur hoffen das das falsch ist aber wenn nicht dann ist es mehr als lächerlich

Sylvester Stallone has now contacted AICN with news that the announced storyline is completely false and that it will be everything that he has previously promised, which is being of a different genre and having Rambo return to the US.

According to Stallone, the new film will take place in the Pacific Northwest, the general area where we first met Rambo. It's there that the US Military is doing experiments on elite soldiers in order to tap into their "savagery" that all humans have embedded in them. The plan is to create instinctual killer soldiers who have no qualms with taking a person's life.

At first, the program works perfectly, but then quickly goes horribly wrong. It is at this point that Rambo and a Black Ops squad is called in to hunt, capture and kill this new type of super-soldier.

Stallone added that the studio has already put together a poster for new movie in order to start spreading the word during the Toronto Film Festival. The poster uses his image from "Rambo 4" and reveals that "Rambo 5" is actually called "Rambo V: The Savage Hunt."

Stallone has now followed that up with the official and more detailed plot synopsis for "Rambo V: The Savage Hunt," which is almost word-for-word (with an addition of a sidekick) the same synopsis as the one for James Byron Huggins' "Hunter" novel. It turns out that Stallone bought the rights to the novel ten years ago and is now adapting it as the new Rambo movie.

Official "Rambo 5" synopsis: John Rambo could track anyone - or anything - on earth. Now the military desperately needs him for a mission that his ultrasensitive instincts tell him he should refuse. A beast is loose somewhere north of the Artic Circle. It has already decimated a secret research facility and annihilated a squad of elite military guards. And the raging creature is headed south toward civilization, ready to wreak bloody devastation.

It's a job that Rambo and his 22-year-old hunting partner, Beau Brady, can't turn down, but they and a team of highly-skilled special forces kill team discover that the prey is a terror beyond their wildest imagination - a half-human abomination created by a renegade agency through a series of outlawed genetic experiments. It has man's cunning, a predator's savageness, and a prehistoric power that has transcended the ages. And even if Rambo and Beau survive its unrelenting hunger for human blood, they'll still have to confront the grim reality that it may have grown immortal.

Most fans of the franchise are unsure how they feel about Stallone changing the genre of the film series and are comparing "Rambo 5" to "Predator," rather than to any other "Rambo" movie. And while these fan comments seem mostly negative, Stallone feels very strongly regarding the direction he has chosen.

"I don't want to keep repeating myself and just doing films about war," he said at the Venice Film Festival. "This is a very psychological film about sophisticated man fighting primitive man."

He continued: "It's actually possible today, with all the cloning and stem cell research, to actually have some experiments that don't work very well and get out of control."

Rambo 5 fand ich auch toll, besonders eben als er die Leute mit der G60 in Fetzen geschossen hat und als er die Hunde im Wald irritiert hat, indem er sich einen Fetzen der Kleidung einer Frau ( Julie Benz) an den Fuß gebunden hat und damit in eine andere Richtung gelaufen ist.
Das Ende war besonders schön, weil er endlich nach Hause zurück kehrt.

Ich fand den vierten gut.
Sicher erwarte ich keine Oscarperformance , dafür sind andere Filme gedacht.

Die "Bösen" wurden von Rambo ja nicht wegen schlechter Schulnoten zerlegt, sondern wegen ganz garstigem Genozid.

Das der Trend der Gewaltdarstellung in den letzten Jahren ins extreme gewandert ist sollte allen klar sein.
Mr. Tarantino hat dies salonfähig gemacht.

Der Schluss von "John Rambo" war gelungen wegen der Heimkerszene zum Abrunden des Charakters.
Man sollte nicht vergessen das er in "First Blood" eigentlich auf dem Heimweg war und noch ein Versprechen gegen seinen toten
Kameraden einlösen wollte - ein Vorurteilbelasteter Provinzbulle hat dies aber verhindert.

Ein fünfter Teil muss echt nicht sein (die Gerüchte gehen in Richtung Alienjäger !!) , ich fürchte aber er wird angesehen

Noch ein Zitat: "Im Krieg war ich verantwortlich für Millionen Dollar an Ausrüstung
und hier bekomm ich nicht mal einen Job als Tankwart !! "
