Games Workshop America is making some price changes as of January 6th, 2003. DON'T PANIC! Some items are going up, some are coming down. The most significant price is the price increase being applied to plastic regiment and squad sets, from $25 to $30. It's a big jump, but this will allow it to stay set for a longer time than raising it a dollar or two every couple of years. None of the box sets for The Lord of The Rings tabletop battlegame will be affected by this change.
Also, all recommended retail prices will be rounded up to the nearest dollar. For example, a current retail price of $9.99 will be a straight $10. It's not all items rising in price though. Some blister packs will also see a price reduction, such as the Dark Elf Beastmaster (8510H) which falls from $7.99 to $6.00.
We know this isn't a fun thing to read about, but as a bottom line thing keeping an eye on our prices and profit margins is something we have to do as a company in order to stay in business. We've been around for over 25 years now, and want to continue and grow for another 25 years. We thank you all for your support of our products of the years, and we're looking forward to all of the great releases we have planned for 2003 such as Daemonhunters, Lizardmen, and The Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King. We've also got a full assortment of events planned for the year, such as 3 Games Day conventions, 9 Grand Tournaments, The Eye of Terror worldwide gaming event, and more!
