STEAMSTORM 2015
This is a summary of the most important information. As for everything else, it is gonna be AWESOME, simple as that.
The most important thing: DATE 18th.-19th. of April 2015. Bratislava, Slovak Republic also known as Slovakia
The tournament: 50 points, 3 lists, D&C 1. Some small changes might apply here based on the upcoming SR15. Pairing will take into account gaming groups and nationality, so I will try to avoid pairing ppl from the same group as long as the results will allow it (probably into round 2 as well) Grudges matches ARE allowed, but I need to know in advance, not on the day of the tournament. No painting requirement. Extreme proxy models are to be photographed and sent for approval. HAVE cards available, not just Warroom.
The venue: Mlynske Nivy 54, 82105 Bratislava. Especially for y'alls the venue WILL include free draft beer and soft drinks again!
The experience: the evening socialising programme will be held in a pub with the best Spare Ribs in Bratislava, Budweiser and Pilsner Urquell on draft as well as a selection of Belgian beers.
Logistics: Lunch will be either ordered or there are several restaurants nearby (turkish, asian, both tasty), sleeping bag accomodation is possible at the venue and decent hotels are at walking distance from the venue with doublerooms (Hotel Astra). More luxurious hotels closer to the town centre can certainly be found as well. In order to have a relaxed tournament, we are going to play 3 rounds on saturday and 3 on sunday, it was the preferred model with most votes this year as well. With a start at 9:00 on sunday it should all be over by 17:00ish at the latest and it also leaves room to start a bit later on saturday for people who drive in the morning.
How to get to the end of the world: Ryanair flies directly to Bratislava from several UK locations as well as some major European cities (Bruxelles, Dublin) Apart from this, Airport Vienna (Schwechat) is some 40 min drive away with very good shuttle connection to Bratislava and I could arrange a pick up Taxi at a good price. In any case, don't hesitate to get in touch with me regarding your journey. Early booked flights with Ryanair tend to go for some 40-50 EUR per ticket
Registration: Starting monday, 8th of December, you can send a registration email to 5.dimenzia at gmail.com with SteamStorm as the subject. It should include your full name (additionally also nickname in case you don't want your name to be seen on a public forum on a list of registered players) and country. The entry fee will be 35 EUR. You will get a confirmation email with instructions about payment. For Eurozone participants it will be bank account info, for countries with different currencies it will be Paypal. Until the entry fee is payed your spot is NOT reserved. After payment is received you will get a second confirmation email with your player number for the tournament.
